DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Below are some of the projects done by Al Shifaa Muslim Youth Initiative, which has dedicated its efforts and time to improving the livelihood of some of the communities living at the Coast.

Maisha Bora Project 2018

The Maisha Bora Project was a community-based project initiated on 6th October 2018, organized by AMYI, whose main agenda was to supply much-needed commodities like food, clothing, and other much-needed amenities and commodities. We were greatly honored to serve the Tabaarak Orphanage (on photo), located at Bakarani, Mombasa County, which also serves as a vocational center for needy youths, skills trained involve tailoring, dressmaking, fashion, and design.

She For Peace Project 2020

She For Peace Project was organized and implemented on 13th November 2020 at Kimbilio Hall located in Changamwe, Mombasa County, with the primary aim of creating a forum where we can engage the youth on the dangers, issues, and prevention of radicalization and violent extremism and also formulate methodologies on how to eradicate such cases while promoting peace in the process. The guest attendants of the project were the OCPD, Local Chiefs, and various community leaders with the aim of creating ambassadors of peace and bridging the gap between security actors and the community at large.
